"We are an 'open door' to a 'brighter light' for mental health consumers in Simcoe County" |
A Caring Ear Fellowship For Folks Living With Mental-Illness was stablished in February of 2012 by facilitators; Christopher M. MacInnis and William (Bill) Harle. They wanted a safe, supportive environment where they could come together and share their journeys and encourage each other at the same tame.
ACE 's goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where folks can come together and share without the fear of judgement or shame. A place where integrity and self-worth are sought after. Because both facilitators live with mental-illness, they are able and equipped to understand the complexities folks live with and strive to provide any tools necessary for growth. As the top of this page has a picture of two trees in autumn in full foliage, with the smaller tree feeding from the larger tree, this is how ACE wants people to see, as a fellowship, that we are the bigger of the two trees, inviting all of the smaller trees to come and benefit from fellowship and community. ACE has folks living with Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar, Chronic Depression, Anxiety, and Personality Disorders. Our folks tend to be 18 years of age through folks into their 80's. We hope you will make your way through our doors for a "brighter day."
